Item Title
C-34 Additive Change Order #2 for Clay High School Fire Alarm Replacement

Issue/Rationale

Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications.  Once a Change Order is initiated, review/evaluation is undertaken to determine the merit and/or requirement of the Change Order.  Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board for approval.  The additive changes are required to add grounding for 17 relocatable sites.  A time extension is required for this change in work and for the District to make repairs to the fire sprinkler system.



Recommended Action
Approve the Change Order.

Financial Impact
If approved, this Change Order will increase the contract amount by $1,437.00.  The Substantial Completion date is September 13, 2009.  Final Completion date is September 28, 2009.  Architect fees will increase by $86.22 as a result of this change order.
